SENIOR HURING FINAL – Abbeydorney has been set as the venue for the hurling championship on Sunday the 27th September.

PARISH COLLECTION – As Kilmoyley Hurling club have two teams in both the Senior Hurling Championship final and the Intermediate championship final, members of the club will be calling around this week hoping that you will be able to give whatever support financially you can to the club.  The teams have been training now since late January/early February and getting to a final is very expensive.  Trainers and physios as well as all the other expenses amount up very quickly.  The club caters for all ages and have a large amount of players from underage to Senior level.  We have a great facility in our parish which we know is appreciated by everyone who uses it.  We hope that you will be able to help out and we look forward to and are fully confident in our teams doing very well in the finals.  Thanking you in anticipation.

INTERMEDIATE CO CHAMPIONSHIP – Well done to the Intermediate team who defeated Causeway in the Intermediate semi-final last Saturday evening in Ballyheigue.  Played in good conditions with very little breeze it was Causeway who opened the scoring but then Kilmoyley got six points in a row with Brendan Harris well on target with his free taking.  Scores also coming from Kieran Regan (who made the journey from his All-Ireland win with the Minors in Limerick earlier that day) and Joe McElligott.  Score at half time Kilmoyley 0-8, Causeway 0-5.

It was another free from Brendan that opened the score for our lads at the start of the second half.  Causeway scoring six points in this half it was Kilmoyley who were the better team and Joe McElligott ended their score with a goal in the last few minutes.  Kilmoyley will now play Dr Crokes in the final. KERRY MINORS – Congratulations to Manager Ian Brick and club players Kieran Regan and Robert Collins who secured a fourth All-Ireland title on Saturday last by defeating Roscommon on a very high score of 6-17 to 1-7.  Great achievement for a very committed and talented bunch of lads.  Well done to the management and team.

KERRY JUVENILE HURLERS: Well done to all our Underage Kerry hurlers.  Last weekend we had the Kerry U14 development squad who were in Waterford and played three games winning against Limerick but losing to Cork and Waterford.  David Godley, Kian Regan and Conor Corrigan represented their club.

The U16 have been very busy all year and they are competing in the Cork League division 1 and had a good win on Saturday night.  Two games left in this league.  Well done to Richard Flaherty and Phil Maunsell with the team.  We also had Ciaran Monahan and Dillon McCabe who were out with the U15 squad during the year.  Great to see so many players from the club playing for your County and best of luck for the coming years.
