GAA NEWS – KILMOYLEY HURLING CLUB NEWS: MASS FOR DECEASED MEMBERS – Mass for Deceased Members of Kilmoyley Hurling club will take place on this Saturday the 21st November at 7pm in Kilmoyley Church.
FUN RACE NIGHT – A fun Race Night will take place at McElligotts Bar Ardfert on Saturday night the 5th December at 9pm. These nights are always great fun so come along and enjoy yourself.
ANNUAL SOCIAL – The Annual Social will take place on Saturday night the 16th January at Ballyroe Hotel at 7pm.
FIXTURES SUBJECT TO WEATHER CONDITIONS: North Kerry Senior League final V Crotta on this Saturday November 21st at 3.30. Venue to be decided.
North Kerry Senior Championship final V St Brendan’s on Friday November 27th @ 7.30pm.
JUVENILE BAG PACKING – The Juvenile hurling club extend a big thank you to the parents, coaches, players and non-players who gave up their time to bag-pack in Dunne’s Stores last Friday and Saturday. Due to the wonderful response, much needed funds were raised which will subsidise the cost of buses, referees etc.

NEW CORRESPONDENT: I would like to inform all those who submit notes for the Kilmoyley page in the Kerryman/Tralee Outlook that there will be a new correspondent for the Kilmoyley notes published on Wednesday 2nd December. The Community Care Committee are delighted to welcome Ian Brick as the new writer and know he will do a great job. The new email address will be kilmoyleynotes@gmail.com. As most people have email now I would ask that all items submitted could be edited properly before sending. Don’t worry if you don’t have email, Ian can be contacted by phone.

GOLF SOCIETY: Thanks to Denis and Margaret Foley for sponsoring the last outing to Ceann Sibeal Golf Club and to Tom Meehan who sponsored the outing prior to that. Both prize giving’s took place at An Tochar on Saturday night last. Thanks to everyone who attended and to Denis and Margaret for providing the lovely food.

Credit Union Poster Competition – Congratulations to all the pupils in Kilmoyley National School who received striking and original certificates and fine-looking trophies for their art work in the recent Credit Union Poster Competition. The theme of the competition was “Happiness is….” The awards ceremony took place in Causeway Comprehensive School on Thursday 12th November.

KERRY HURLERS – SELECTOR – Congratulations to Kilmoyley’s James McCarthy, holder of 7 Senior Co Championship medals who will be a selector for the Kerry hurlers this year. Ciarán Carey has opted for James and Michael Conway of Lixnaw as part of his team and also Damien Ryall as physical trainer. The position of hurling coach has yet to be filled.
